Content model

The content contract behind the tree: Pages, hierarchy, excerpts, headings, and ordinary Posts.

Docspress has a deliberately small content contract. The editor makes the meaningful decisions; the theme makes those decisions readable.

Portable by design. If Docspress is deactivated, the Pages and Posts remain standard WordPress content. Only the presentation layer changes.

01 Docs Root and Page hierarchy One root Page defines the document space; its descendants remain portable WordPress content.
02 Parent, order, and excerpts Small editorial fields produce a stable directory, readable decks, and predictable navigation.
03 Headings and page TOC H2 and H3 headings become semantic anchors and a quiet on-this-page index.
