Style Guide

This page exercises the ordinary content styles used by 3classic. It is also a useful reference when checking the theme on another screen.

Headings create a route

A heading names a section. A paragraph develops one thought. Links point to the installation guide and public source. Strong text and emphasis carry meaning when used sparingly.

A smaller heading

The reading surface keeps a consistent rhythm between headings, paragraphs, lists and images. A short paragraph should look as intentional as a long one.

A fourth-level heading

Use the hierarchy to describe the content structure, rather than choosing a heading solely for its size.

Give the reader a place to begin, a reason to continue, and a clear way back.

Code and long text

Use style.css for theme metadata and styles. A code sample should preserve spacing:

/* A short, readable example */
.reading-note {
  max-width: 42rem;
  margin-inline: auto;
}

More than one language

中文:好的排版,让文字有呼吸的空间,也让读者知道下一步可以去哪里。

日本語:読み続けられる余白と、迷わないための小さな手がかり。

English: A continuing publication needs both a comfortable reading surface and a way through its archive.
