About PalmX

PalmX translates the compact discipline of a Palm application into a WordPress Classic Theme.

The physical shell, green LCD surface, four application tabs and hardware-button strip are visual language. The data remains WordPress: Posts, Comments, Users, Tags, Categories, Search and Pages.

The companion PalmX Core plugin handles front-end publishing and moderation operations. It does not replace WordPress with a custom social database.

What PalmX is for

PalmX is for a small, readable community stream: short updates, longer notes, links, quotes, images and threaded replies. Stable information belongs to Pages; conversation belongs to Posts.

Current scope

The first release includes activity ordering, four-level visual reply depth, People, Topics, Find, Notifications and three Feed display modes. Follows, likes, presence and real-time transport remain outside this release.
