PalmX design notes

The device shell is a physical metaphor, not decoration: gray plastic, an asymmetric recessed LCD bezel, compact app chrome and a restrained hardware strip establish the reading surface.

Inside the screen, the Feed is a row-based stream rather than a card wall. Avatars, author metadata, text, reply counts and topic tags remain compact. Default mode keeps the stream readable; Expanded mode opens reply trees; Compact mode behaves like an inbox. On narrow screens the shell becomes flush and preserves the physical frame instead of collapsing into a generic mobile page.

Interaction rules

The top four tabs are the primary application areas. The right-hand Menu button opens the secondary Page list without consuming permanent screen height. The bottom four controls remain anchored to the device: Home, Alerts, Pages and Me or Log in.

Controls use native links, buttons and forms so the theme remains usable with keyboard navigation and without a custom application runtime.
